There are plenty of exciting new commercial developments in the pipeline across Gloucestershire spanning a wide variety of business sectors.

University of Gloucestershire digital and cyber hub
The £5.8 million hub, earmarked for Cheltenham's Park Campus, will provide the latest digital and cyber technologies to teach students essential cyber skills.
State-of-the-art laboratories will feature innovation testbeds for the application of advanced and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, big data analytics, blockchain and cyber physical systems. This development is subject to planning permission, with a vision to open in spring 2025.
The Minster Exchange in Cheltenham
Opening in early 2024, the £10 million The Minster Exchange development in the heart of Cheltenham will bring a new headquarters for Cheltenham Festivals, a cyber workspace and cafe.
The modular structure, in the beautiful grounds of Cheltenham Minster, will expand Gloucestershire's cyber ecosystem, encouraging growth in the tech, cyber and creative sectors, providing a space that backers hope supports the community to prosper and thrive.
Gloucester Food Dock
The £3.5 million Gloucester Food Dock is opening this September 2023 and bringing with it 15 independent foodie hot spots.
Championing local, up-and-coming food businesses and eateries, the huge glass-fronted development situated beside the Soldiers of Gloucestershire Museum and overlooking the waterfront at Gloucester Docks and is set to become a must-visit destination for visitors to the city.
The Forum in Gloucester
A whopping 135,000 sq ft of Grade A office space is currently being built by Kier Construction as part of the £107 million The Forum development which is due for completion in summer 2024.
The jewel in the crown will be a 131-bedroom Hotel Indigo complete with rooftop bar and access to the development's 9,000 square foot gym and business innovation hub.
Cotswolds Designer Outlet
The 180-acre outlet scheme, off Junction 9 of the M5 at Ashchurch, will include 16,000 sq ft of cafe and restaurant space, as well as fashion, leisure, footwear and lifestyle brands and is expected to generate total sales of £88.6 million a year.
The outlet shopping destination is being built alongside hundreds of new homes and is expected to open its doors in 2024.
Golden Valley Development
Comprising of 3,700 homes, a 160,000 sq ft innovation centre and cyber tech park on 200 acres, once complete, this £1 billion project will make Gloucestershire the official cyber capital of the UK creating an estimated 12,000 new jobs.
Home to the National Cyber Innovation Centre, it has been hailed as one of the UK’s most exciting and nationally significant projects, promoting innovation, economic growth and national security.
Stroudwater 13
An £11 million scheme to build two new business units in Stonehouse aims to provide hundreds of jobs for the town.
Currently under construction, the 53,500 square foot and 22,000 square foot buildings at Stroudwater 13 will offer modern, state-of-the-art facilities as part of a sustainable, mixed-use development close to the M5.
Cotswold Innovation Village
Still in the planning stages, ambitions are high for a £100 million sustainable, carbon neutral, innovation village in the Cotswolds.
The vision from the Royal Agricultural University is for a new home for entrepreneurs, policymakers, practitioners, and researchers on a 29-acre site at its Cirencester campus.
Eco Park in Stroud
It's a few years away from completion but the vision behind Dale Vince's planet-friendly Eco Park at Junction 13 of the M5 is spectacular.
Promising 38,000 sq m of office space and 18,000 sq m of industrial space, the star of the show is a 5,000-seat, state-of-the-art timber stadium for Forest Green Rovers designed by globally-renowned architects at Zaha Hadid.
University of Gloucestershire City Campus
Bringing one of Gloucester’s iconic heritage buildings back to life, the University of Gloucestershire will begin operating from Gloucester city centre next summer, with teaching kicking off in September 2024. Once complete, the building will house nearly 4,000 students and 350 staff.
The City Campus development is a key part of the £200 million regeneration of the city centre by Gloucester City Council and its partners the Reef Group, as well as the university.
Arle Court Transport Hub
A stylish, wood-clad 2,500 sq m multi-storey car park, complete with a new cafe is bringing 955 parking spaces to the Cheltenham end of the Golden Valley.
There'll also be five dedicated taxi and 12 motorhome bays; more spaces for disabled drivers; and room for 90 bicycles when this £20 million redevelopment of Cheltenham’s Arle Court Park and Ride site reopens in early 2024.
