Cheltenham and Gloucester Hospitals Charity hopes to provide wellbeing support to NHS workers during the Coronavirus crisis through the COVID-19 Rapid Response Appeal.

Donations to the appeal will help to fund ‘boost boxes’ full of snacks and toiletries, sleep pods and fold-out beds, transport to and from work when public transport isn’t available, and wellbeing support to help alleviate the pressure on NHS workers as they care for those fighting the disease.

Head of fundraising Richard Smith said: ‘In this most unprecedented of times, NHS staff in Gloucestershire are working around the clock to provide the best possible care to patients.

‘The COVID-19 Rapid Response Appeal will enable us to give vital wellbeing support, working closely with teams to provide the help where they need it most.’

The appeal aims to boost the morale of everyone working above and beyond during the Coronavirus outbreak.
