The Cake Hatch may be closing, but Hetty’s Kitchen in Gloucester is expanding with a new café.

After nearly four years of sweet treats and indulgent brownies, Hetty’s playful Cake Hatch on Morelands Trading Estate in Gloucester is closing – but there’s no need to worry, it’s not the end for the artisan baking business, far from it.

The final day to visit the hatch will be Saturday 23 April 2022, before the launch of a new café in a brand-new Gloucester bakery, located just across the estate, next door to The BBQ Society.

The move will see Hetty’s expand from a 900 square foot kitchen with a 200 square foot packing room, to a 2,600 square foot unit all together – giving the bakery more opportunities to broaden the menu, creativity and capacity, alongside indoor seating.

What’s more, to see the original hatch off, Hetty’s will be throwing a party evening on Friday 22 April 2022, accompanied by Woozy Pig grub and cocktails, plus pastries from Boys Bakery on Saturday 23 Friday 22 April 2022 to nurse the hangover…
