Visitors to Westonbirt Arboretum will be able to tuck into three new dining experiences this spring – with the first two expected to open in late March 2021.

Teaming up with Bristol-based caterer, Fosters Events, the new foodie spots will provide sweet treats, seasonal dishes and even smokehouse specials to visitors from Gloucestershire and beyond at the popular Cotswold attraction.

The new Westonbirt Arboretum food offerings have been designed with the site, its surroundings and local people in mind – with each menu championing local produce, as well as including vegan and gluten free options.

Westonbirt’s main restaurant is getting a serious makeover, inspired by a ‘forest garden’ aesthetic to compliment and reflect the natural beauty of its grounds.

There will also be a walk-in kiosk with a separate ice-cream hatch for sunny day treats, and an outdoor smokehouse and kitchen, too.

The new kiosk and smokehouse are expected to open to the public by the end of March 2021 and operating a takeaway service for the Easter holiday period.

The main restaurant will remain open for takeaway too, until it closes in mid-April 2021 for refurbishment.

It’s expected that all three new dining experiences at Westonbirt Arboretum will be open to hungry visitors by the end of May 2021.
