Hotly anticipated new cocktail bar, The Alchemist Cheltenham, is finally opening its doors on Friday 28 August 2020.

The wait is almost over as The Alchemist, the latest addition to Cheltenham’s bustling Brewery Quarter, is gearing up to open on Friday 28 August 2020.

SoGlos was invited on an exclusive tour of the new venue – and treated to some of The Alchemist’s signature cocktail concoctions!

Stylish and sophisticated, the venue boasts a bespoke floor-to-ceiling bar and incredible wall mural, complete with light projections, as well as a dedicated zone for cocktail masterclasses.

The Alchemist’s mixologists have been busy curating an exciting cocktail menu, each drink crafted with chemistry and served with a measure of theatre. From nostalgic guilty-pleasures to smoky showstoppers, there’s something for everyone – we loved the rhubarb and custard fizz and the screwball for their throwback childhood flavours.

Meanwhile, the all-day dining menu features some Alchemist classics, such as chicken in a basket, as well as brand-new dishes created especially for the new Cheltenham venue. The chorizo and cheddar doughballs, served with a ‘choose your cheese level’ syringe, are sure to be a big hit!

The Alchemist is also operating a contact-free menu, with diners able to pay at the table – and dedicated servers pouring cocktails too. Tables for dining or drinks can be booked online, with walk-ins also welcome.
