With the new Renters' Rights Bill due to be enacted in 2025, landlords and investment property owners will have new laws to comply with — and potentially some big changes to how they manage their properties to contend with.
Cheltenham-based Willans LLP solicitors is hosting an in-person seminar at Pittville Pump Room this June 2025, to provide expert advice on what the Renters' Rights Bill means for Gloucestershire property owners.
Willans' team will provide insights on the proposed changes, which include measures to give tenants more protection and financial stability such as abolshing fixed-term tenancies and Section 21 eviction notices; as well reforms that benefit landlords, such as introducing new grounds for recovering possession.
Expert speakers include Willans conveyancing partner Suzanne O'Riordan; partner Nick Southwell; solicitor Bethen Abraham; and trainee solicitor Katie Charlton.
Attendees will also hear from guest speaker Nick Latimer — who is a partner at Crowe — sharing insights on capital tax planning and structuring for property; stamp duty; capital gains; and the government's new changes to inheritance tax.
Tickets to the seminar are free but anyone interested in attending must book online in advance.
