See exclusive flying displays and never before seen footage in the first Virtual Air Tattoo on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 July 2020.
While the Royal International Air Tattoo has been postponed for 2020, the virtual event gives aviation enthusiasts at least four hours of live content each day – streamed on the official RIAT YouTube channel.
There will also be live virtual flying displays from skilled gamers and pilots in flight simulators, including an RAF eSports tournament; video footage from past Air Tattoo displays; as well as behind-the-scenes content from the Royal Air Force, International Air Arms and more, the event promises to bring all the action of the Air Tattoo to people’s homes.
Air Tattoo commentator, Ben Dunnell, will host the free event live from a PlanesTV studio, along with special guests to be announced in the coming weeks. Viewers will be encouraged to join in by sending their comments and questions via social media.
Air Tattoo CEO, Paul Atherton, said: ‘We still want to give the Air Tattoo experience to our visitors, participants and sponsors and this we can do through an online broadcast over what would have been the show weekend. This is our thank you for all their support, loyalty and goodwill during this difficult time.’
