Racing fans will be chomping at the bit in anticipation of the new season at Cheltenham Racecourse, opening with The Showcase on Friday 25 and Saturday 26 October 2024.
This first fixture in the 2024/2025 Cheltenham Racecourse season sees leading jockeys, horses and trainers return to jump racing’s most famous arena in a spectacular showcase of the season's most promising stars.
Providing the first taste at what promises to be another incredible year in the sport, the meeting blends competitive racing with the thrill of spectating at the home of jump racing.
This year's event also features some competitive new additions, including the opportunity to get a taste of life as a jockey at the Jockey Gym, as well as the chance to challenge friends and family to see who's stronger than a winning jockey with the team from Great British Racing.
When does the new season start at Cheltenham Racecourse?
The first race hits the track at 1.35pm on Friday 25 October, with the highly-anticipated Prestbury Handicap steeple chase kicking off at 2.45pm, before day one comes to a close at 5.05pm.
Day two's action takes place on Saturday 26 October from 1.15pm, with the highlight of the EPIC Jumps Season at William Hill Handicap steeple chase starting at 2.25pm — and the final race rounding off the event at 4.45pm.
