Early risers can seize the day and take part in Sandford Parks Lido's Sunrise Swim this June.

Get ready to swim when the sun rises on the longest day of the year at Sandford Parks Lido in Cheltenham. The summer solstice, which falls on Friday 21 June 2019, will see the sun rise at 4:49am, when swimmers are invited to dive in for this year’s Sunrise Swim.

The event is ticketed, and the Lido gates will open at 4am and the Lido café is set to open at 4:45am, so you can get a rewarding breakfast after your morning workout in the pool.

But those who can’t bear to think about leaving their beds before the cockerel’s crow will still have the chance to take the plunge, with the early morning session running until 9am.

Donations will be accepted on the day to raise money for Winston’s Wish.
