It's time to lace up your trainers — the Cheltenham Half Marathon and 10K is back for September 2024!
Whether you're looking to take on your first road race or beat your personal best, Run Cheltenham offers a flat course with full road closures — an excellent choice for both newbie and regular runners.
This year, national healthcare charity Sue Ryder, which runs Sue Ryder Leckhampton Court Hospice near Cheltenham, is returning as headline charity partner for the event.
Encompassing the Cheltenham Half Marathon and the 10K, as well as the Moki Community Mile, the event attracts hundreds of runners of all abilities — making it a huge fundraiser for Sue Ryder, helping it to continue providing expert and compassionate palliative care and bereavement support to families in need.
Participants can choose to take on the half marathon — following a 13.1-mile route through the Regency town centre, starting and finishing at Cheltenham Racecourse — or the 10K, which follows the first and last sections of the half. Runners will also pass through the vibrant Sue Ryder Energy Zone on the Promenade, with volunteers on hand with drinks and words of encouragement.
Meanwhile the Moki Community Mile takes place solely at Cheltenham Racecourse, offering a great introduction to running races that's suitable for all ages and abilities.
Sign up for a Sue Ryder place for a discounted entry fee and access to training plans and fundraising support — plus, to help with your training, you'll get access to a bi-weekly running club hosted by Battle Bootcamp from April 2024 onwards!
Anyone running in aid of Sue Ryder is asked to raise a minimum of £275 for the half marathon, £175 for the 10K and £25 for the Moki Community Mile, with funds raised going directly to the charity.
