Tackle more than 30 giant inflatable obstacles while raising money for a lifesaving local charity in a 'bigger, bouncier and better than ever' Inflatable 5k event this October 2024.
In the event at Cheltenham Racecourse on Saturday 19 October 2024, hundreds of participants will run, bounce, slide, jump and dodge their way through 'the world's biggest' inflatable obstacle course, with options to make it a 2.5k, 5k, 10k or 15k.
Midlands Air Ambulance Charity — which supports emergency services across six counties with its lifesaving air ambulance service and critical care car fleet, manned by a team of expert paramedics — has partnered with event organiser UK Running Events to encourage participants to make charity fundraising a part of the experience, too.
Participants pledging to raise a minimum £100 for the charity are eligible for a discounted entry fee of £30.
The event itself will see participants summit the 'start mountain' before attempting to navigate obstacles like 'holy moly', 'the growler' and 'vortex'; avoid being caught off guard by 'crash bang' and 'the slapper'; and climb, slide and vault their way through 'temple of doom' and 'the boss'.
There are also five 'pumping' music zones to motivate you around the course and a spectator area where your friends and family can cheer you on, with medical assistance and a hydration station provided, too.
Participants will receive a winners' medal at the finish line along with event goodies, while there's also event photography included so that you can remember the challenge for years to come.
The event is open to anyone aged five and above, with under 15s needing to be supervised by a paying participating adult, in a 3:1 child to adult ratio.
The deadline to sign up for the event is Wednesday 9 October 2024. To register, visit midlandsairambulance.com/events/run-for-charity-inflatable-cheltenham.
