Hope for Tomorrow's flagship fundraising campaign, first launched in 2023 by TV presenting veteran Gloria Hunniford, Cuppa for Cancer Care is back to raise funds for local cancer patients in February 2025.
It's the perfect opportunity for Gloucestershire residents to get involved with the charity and give back to the local community, by bringing people together for a cuppa and a cake — a tonic for all life's ups and downs.
Participants can sign up online via the Hope for Tomorrow website and receive a free Cuppa for Cancer Care fundraising pack, before hosting a coffee morning, afternoon tea or office bake sale to raise money for vital services provided by the charity across the county.
The fundraising pack includes event
posters, a sponsorship form and fundraising guides to help you pull off a cracking Cuppa event.
Hope for Tomorrow has enabled the NHS to provide more than 26,000 patient visits for cancer patients in local communities across England in the year 2023 to 2024 — and every donation in exchange for a gooey brownie, a slice of Victoria sponge and a cup of tea or coffee helps!
A donation of £5 could pay for one person to receive an essential PICC line clean on board a Hope for Tomorrow mobile cancer care unit and £212 could pay for a day of mobile cancer care for approximately 20 patients.
Businesses and households can host a Cuppa for Cancer Care from Monday 3 until Sunday 9 February 2025, at any time that's convenient for organisers and guests.
The full event spans a week to help mark World Cancer Day on Tuesday 4 February 2025.
