Gloucestershire charity the Hollie Gazzard Trust is holding its annual Walk4Hollie on Sunday 12 May 2024, inviting participants to walk 10k to commemorate its 10th year and raise money for its vital work.
The annual event sees hundreds of locals take to the streets of Gloucester to walk, skip and dance their way around the city in memory of the charity's namesake, Hollie Gazzard, with many participants choosing to wear purple — Hollie's favourite colour.
The 10k route starts and ends at The Glevum Inn in Longlevens, but anyone who isn't able to attend in Gloucester can walk the 10k in their own local area.
Participants are encouraged to set up fundraisers so family and friends can sponsor their efforts, with all money raised by walkers going directly to the charity.
Walk4Hollie 2024 is also sponsored by Cheltenham-based Fraser Allen Estate Management.
As well as celebrating Hollie's life and legacy, the event invites walkers to think of victims of domestic abuse, stalking and knife crime and remember why raising money for the charity is so important.
