Hosted by Cotswold Menopause, a Cheltenham-based specialist menopause clinic, Gloucestershire's first ever menopause fayre is taking place at Brickhampton Court Golf Complex in Gloucester on Thursday 18 April 2024.
Free to attend, the pop-up event aims to empower women with the knowledge of how to recognise perimenopause and menopause symptoms — and the options available to alleviate them when the time comes.
Featuring over 20 exhibitors to talk to, there will also be refreshments, a raffle, and lifestyle products from skincare to homeware to browse and purchase.
Extending beyond hormone replacement therapy (HRT) — the medicine usually prescribed for symptoms by GPs — Cotswold Menopause's founder, Andrea Marsh, endorses a 'toxin-free', holistic approach to tackling the menopause.
Andrea has given many talks, including teaming up with John Lewis to host in-store events and guest speaking at numerous online menopause conferences — she credits Shiatsu therapy and Chinese medicinal methods for her healing.
She said: 'I needed to understand my own body first and what was causing these changes from a Chinese Medicine point of view; and then sort myself out! I relieved my symptoms so quickly that I then started helping other women.’
Founder of support network, You, Me and the Menopause, counsellor Clare Bloomer added: 'It's fantastic to see Andrea shine a light on menopause health.
'I'm thrilled to be supporting this menopause fayre, raising awareness and educating others about this natural change that half our population will experience.'
Tickets to the Menopause Fayre at Brickhampton Court Golf Complex are available now via Eventbrite.
