Gloucestershire food fans are in for a treat this summer as the Cheltenham Food and Drink Festival returns to Montpellier Gardens with a bumper line-up of culinary masterclasses and celebrity demonstrations.
Taking place from Friday 21 to Sunday 23 June 2024, families can celebrate all things food and drink, from free talks and tastings to browsing more than 120 exhibitors and watching the street entertainers — there's something for all ages and tastebuds!
Italian baker and Great British Bake Off 2021 winner, Giuseppe Dell'Anno is whipping up a frenzy of treats in his section, 'From Italy with Love: My Treasured Recipes'; while the Snack Hacker, George Egg, blows minds during his anarchic presentation, making food using unconventional appliances and unexpected methods — expect inspiration and innovation by the bucket load.
Be sure to check out the masterclasses happening throughout the weekend, including international wine talks and tastings; discover the wonders of cheese with leading experts and cheesemongers, Emma Young and Patrick McGuigan; and sample seasonal beer with The Craft Beer Boys.
Plus, get stuck into grilling at the Weber BBQ Stage with a host of grill masters lining up to share their juicy secrets, before spectating the Cotswolds Barbecue Championships, where teams compete by cooking up dishes over roaring fires to win one of the two titles on offer.
There's also live music from seven live bands including The Sylvertones and Lost Luggage, among many other exciting performers and children's entertainment.
Supported by Cheltenham Animal Shelter, the festival features doggy events all weekend — with a dog show on the Saturday for the grand finale. Bring your pooch down for the chance to be named Best in Show and win treats for your furry friend!
Pre-booked tickets for Cheltenham Food and Drink Festival 2024 start from £7 per person, with children under 16 able to attend for free, and masterclasses costing extra.
