Encouraging adults to embrace nature's playground this summer, Westonbirt Arboretum has a new play trail to discover in the Silk Wood. After all, why should kids have all the fun?
The playtime trail invites grown-ups to release their inhibitions and allow their inner child to guide them through mini-games and puzzles, with a leaflet to help them along the way – and kids are welcome to join in, too!
Stop to play Hopscotch with a twist, taking aim to score big, and recline in a hammock to let your imagination roam as you take in the natural world around you.
Discover how to play the traditional Ghanaian game of pilolo, where participants race to find hidden sticks, and learn how to connect with the trees.
Promising plenty of fun for the whole family, Westonbirt's unique trail is bound to get everyone in the mood for fun and games during the summer holidays, getting those endorphins pumping and boosting creativity.
Families can also enjoy free sensory activities and green games at Silk Wood Barn and the Great Oak Hall on selected dates throughout the summer holidays – with free entry for children up to the age of 18 until Sunday 3 September 2023, too.
