Year 10 and 11 students in Gloucestershire are invited to experience the inspiring learning environment at The King's School Gloucester at its Sixth Form open evening on Wednesday 16 October 2024.
The leading independent school boasts a £2.5 million state-of-the-art Sixth Form Centre that blends original 13th-century features with contemporary design, the latest technology, a cafe and social spaces designed to encourage pupils to 'think differently' about the world around them.
It strives to provide Sixth Formers with 'opportunities like no other', with over 24 A-Levels and BTEC Sport to choose from.
In 2024, 66 per cent of King's A-level grades were A* to B or equivalent; a third of grades were A* to A or equivalent; and every student on the BTEC Sport course achieved Distinction or starred Distinction in every part of the course — with pupils achieving some of the school's best results ever.
King's also offers one-to-one support with UCAS applications and post-18 choices; a forward-thinking Future Skills programme; nurturing pastoral care; and a diverse co-curricular offering encompassing sports, music, performing and creative arts to enrich the academic experience and prepare pupils for the future — as well as benefitting from a special relationship with Gloucester Cathedral, which is located just next door.
Families are invited to take a guided tour of its stunning Sixth Form Centre and speak to the head of Sixth Form and other academic departments at the open evening, to discover what it's like to study at King's.
Anyone wishing to attend the Sixth Form open evening must register online in advance.
