Slimbridge Wetland Centre is launching a brand-new Halloween light trail, taking place on selected dates in October 2024 — including throughout the October half term.
The newest addition to Gloucestershire's ghoulish Halloween calendar, this exciting event gives families the rare chance to discover the wonders of Slimbridge after dark — embarking on an adventure that promises to be 'every bit as amazing' as its wetland wildlife residents.
As night falls, see Slimbridge illuminated and transformed into a magical new world, which is home to the fabled Marsh Witch.
Following the light trail, you'll discover her potions and pumpkins, spot bats and broomsticks, and even encounter shipwrecks and scarecrows for a dose of light-hearted Halloween fun.
There's also the chance to make a wish with the Marsh Witch in the pond zone, before warming up with toasted marshmallows around the firepit or flexing your creative muscles in the arts and craft zone.
Slimbridge's new Halloween light trail is open on Fridays and Saturdays from Friday 11 October until the end of the month — as well as throughout half term from Friday 25 October to Sunday 3 November 2024.
While sensory-friendly sessions, designed especially for visitors with additional needs, take place on Friday 11, Saturday 12, Friday 18 and Saturday 19 October at 6pm and 6.15pm, as well as on Friday 25 October at 5.30pm and 5.45pm.
