The Museum of Gloucester is hosting a series of Ladybird-themed events as part of its new exhibition this summer 2021, including Make Music at a Museum, in partnership with Gloucester-based The Music Works.

The Museum of Gloucester has teamed up with The Music Works to give music-loving kids a chance to make some sounds this summer, with a special session.

As part of its new family-friendly exhibition, The Wonderful World of the Ladybird Book Artists, the Museum of Gloucester is inviting children to Make Music in a Museum on Monday 16 August 2021.

Suitable for children and teenagers aged nine to 15-years-old, budding musicians can have a go at creating soundscapes and bringing stories to life through music. As well as exploring digital sounds on iPads, kids will be able to use the sounds of the museum as inspiration, as well as collaborating and sharing ideas with other children.

Make Music in a Museum sessions cost £10 per person and include all materials needed, as well as a pre-ordered lunch – unless you’d rather bring your own. Entry to The Wonderful World of the Ladybird Book Artists at the Museum of Gloucester is by donation.
