Little ghouls will be in their element at Dean Heritage Centre this Halloween half term, where there’ll be ghastly goings-on from Saturday 23 to Sunday 31 October 2021.
Wander through the woods to discover what lurks between the trees, keeping an eye out for the world-famous Gruffalo and friends; while courageous kids can step inside the haunted cottage for a cup of witches’ brew with the resident sorceresses.
Brave souls can volunteer to help Athelstan the Anglo-Saxon demonstrate gory Saxon surgery on Saturday 23 and Sunday 31 October 2021, while he shares spooky stories of what’s hiding in the forest; and witches-in-training can learn spooky tricks at Luna Halfmoon’s spell school on Thursday 28 October 2021.
Meanwhile, get crafty with autumn-themed printing and Halloween-themed craft activities on selected days; and don’t miss the chance to pick a pumpkin from the cottage patch to carve your very own jack-o’-lantern, with the activity available from Monday 25 to Sunday 31 October 2021.
And for those who prefer cute over creepy, there’ll be miniature ponies, friendly sheep and cuddly bunnies to snuggle when Rupert and Chums petting farm visits on Tuesday 26 October 2021; as well as adorable owls to meet with Little Owlets coming on Sunday 30 October 2021.
Please note, a small donation will be required for the pumpkin carving activity, as well as for some aspects of the Rupert and Chums petting farm.
