Families can enjoy a brand-new outdoor attraction at Westonbirt Arboretum this February half term, setting off on a forest adventure with Superworm.
Arriving just in time for half term on Monday 21 February 2022, the new Superworm trail invites children to become a forest superhero, with colourful illustrated panels to find around the Old Arboretum and a special pack full of activities – including their very own mask to wear!
Starring the creepy-crawly heroes of the popular children’s book by The Gruffalo creator, Julia Donaldson, the self-led trail teaches children all about the minibeasts of the forest – with fun facts about the hard-working critters that help Westonbirt Arboretum to thrive.
Taking approximately one hour to complete, the trail is aimed at families with children aged three to nine-years-old, but provides a fun-filled adventure in the great outdoors for all.
Families with pooches should be aware that the trail is in a dog-free area of the arboretum.
The Superworm trail is free after admission, with activity packs available to pick up from the Westonbirt shop for £3.50. Tickets to Westonbirt Arboretum must be booked online and are available up to seven days in advance via forestryengland.uk/westonbirt.
