A firm favourite with families, Slimbridge Wetland Centre is set to see the return of its popular Giant LEGO Brick Animals, this October 2020 half term.
Visitors can spot eight different LEGO creations alongside their living counterparts, with the animals all said to be inspired by the real species at Slimbridge.
Returning favourites include Sam the short-eared owl and Skye the stork, as well as a Hawaiian goose, giant kingfisher, mallard and emperor dragonfly.
There’s also Lottie the otter, made up of over 15,000 bricks, who took 120 hours to build; and Fred the frog, who took a whopping 244 hours to build.
Offering a fun way to inspire children to build a better future for nature, families can find all eight giant animals around Slimbridge’s grounds – with flamingos and other real-life wonders to spot, too.
What’s more, all outside play areas and the Riverlife section are open at limited capacity, giving little ones the chance to run wild and make the most of the great outdoors this October half term.
Please note, tickets must be booked online in advance. For more information, and to book, visit wwt.org.uk/slimbridge.
