Travel back in time and experience Berkeley Castle in the midst of the Civil War, for a fantastic Easter weekend of living history that promises to be fun for the whole family.

Throwing it back to 1642, when King Charles I and Parliament battled it out for control of the English government, visitors can enjoy a whole host of historical activities taking place from Saturday 19 to Monday 21 April 2025.

Soak up the sights and sounds of battle as expert living history performers bring the seventeenth-century conflict to life, with soldiers marching through the grounds and cavalry re-enactments to see.

Listen to period music and watch lively dancing displays for an immersive experience of the era, with plenty of children's activities to get involved with, too.

Dating right back to the 11th century, Berkeley Castle has more rich history waiting to be discovered, including the spooky cell where King Edward II was once held...

Civil War at Berkeley Castle is included in the price of admission, with tickets available to book via berkeley-castle.com or on arrival.
