Launching just in time for Easter, Slimbridge Wetland Centre has unveiled its brand-new family activity programme for 2024, starring children's TV sensation, Bing!
From Saturday 23 March to Sunday 2 June 2024, kids can become nature explorers with an all-new activity trail, storytelling sessions, mini shows and character appearances to look forward to — all included in the cost of admission.
Just like Bing and his friends, who love to get outside and learn through play, the trail encourages youngsters to engage with wetland nature and wildlife through fun-filled challenges. Remember to pick up a map before setting off and collect your sticker after completing it!
Head to the North America exhibit for interactive Bing storytelling sessions at 12.45pm, taking place every day during the Easter holidays then on weekends only until Sunday 2 June 2024.
Bing and Flop are also joining the Slimbridge team in the cinema to host daily mini shows throughout the Easter holidays, with tickets available on a first come, first served basis from the admissions desk. Just 20-minutes long, these engaging performances give audiences a greater insight into wetland wildlife, showing at 11am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm.
And there's even the opportunity to meet the loveable CBeebies stars! Stop by the cinema before the mini shows for the chance to snap a selfie with Bing and Flop — they'll be hosting meet-and-greets in the Easter holidays only, at 10am, 12pm and 2.30pm.
There's plenty more happening at Slimbridge during the Bing programme, too, including daily otter, amphibian and Living Wetland Theatre talks. Run off some energy at the Welly Boot Land, Wild Play and Riverlife play areas or download Slimbridge's free app, Wetland Heroes, to unlock even more wetland secrets.
And don't forget to visit the Slimbridge shop before you leave, packed with Bing merchandise for a special souvenir.
