Following the success of The Wipers Times, Ian Hislop and Nick Newman’s new play, Trial by Laughter is set to deliver another brilliant show at the Everyman Theatre.

Running in Cheltenham from Monday 12 to Saturday 17 November 2018, audiences can expect to be thoroughly entertained, with the story inspired by real life events.

Trial by Laughter follows bookseller, publisher and satirist William Hone, who stood trial in the early 1800s for ‘impious blasphemy and seditious libel’.

His only crime was being ‘too funny’, parodying religious texts, and being funny about the government and the monarchy.

Certain to put smiles on the faces of audiences this November, don’t miss the chance to snap up tickets before they’re all gone.
