Promising big laughs for all the family, the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham is running its first local pilot of an indoor, socially distanced, public performance, bringing The Wonderful Wizard of Oz to the stage on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 September 2020.
Transporting audiences to the magical world of Oz, the theatre experience promises to deliver fast-paced comedy for all ages, with Dorothy and her new friends journeying down the yellow brick road, encountering munchkins, witches, winged monkeys and much more along the way.
Full social distancing protocols will be in place for the comfort and protection of the performers, staff and guests, with tickets sold in pods of two, three and four. There is also designated arrival times and entrances, pre-entry temperature screenings, pre-ordered food and beverage service, hand sanitiser stations, track and trace monitoring and enhanced cleaning procedures being followed across the theatre too.
‘We look forward to welcoming you back to our historic venue and hope you enjoy our first public performances since mid-March 2020,’ organisers said.
