Pedalling into Painswick for two different productions, the HandleBards Gents and Ladies return to the stunning Rococo Gardens for some environmentally-sustainable summer Shakespeare.
Travelling to Gloucestershire to perform Much Ado About Nothing on Wednesday 19 and Thursday 20 June 2019 and The Tempest on Tuesday 2 July 2019, the unique theatre groups cycles from venue-to-venue to perform alfresco interpretations of The Bard’s famous plays – promising a novel experience for drama fans.

Cycling in from Bradford-on-Avon, The HandleBards Gents will perform a new interpretation of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing at Painswick Rococo Gardens on two dates.
In the famous comedy, a group of soldiers return from war and encounter love, deception and misunderstanding in a household in Messina.

The HandleBards Ladies will also pedal into Painswick Rococo Gardens for a performance of The Tempest, one of Shakespeare’s last plays.
Set on an island following a shipwreck, the play is described as the story of betrayal, magic and love.
