Established in 2022, Tewkesbury Live returns this year with a packed roster of live music taking over the town centre for a weekend of free summer entertainment.
In every pub in town from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 July 2024, music fans can see performances from around 100 different bands, spanning everything from soul and blues to pop and punk rock.
Head to Tewkesbury pubs like The Nottingham Arms, The Cross House Tavern and the newly-refurbished Black Bear and enjoy a crisp pint or a glass of wine backed by musical revelry — other venues include The Town Hall, The Roses Theatre and Tewkesbury Rugby Club.
Plus, new for 2024, The Boathouse will feature an outdoor stage for the first time, which will host 10 bands across the weekend.
Some of this year's acts include The No-Good Nancys, Fallen Idols, Dhampyres, The Offshore, Saint Senara and Rave Against The Regime.
As well as an eclectic line-up of live music, there are free family activities including music workshops such as line dancing and sign-along-a-song; a silent disco; crafts with Kitch & Kaboodle; and the chance to get up yourself in an open mic session — please note that some activities may require booking due to limited space.
Tewkesbury Rugby Club is also offering the option to camp over the festival weekend, with space open to the public for campervans and tents at £40 for the whole weekend for a pitch with a car parking space — day parking is also available at £5 per car, with all proceeds going towards festival funds.
The festival is run on donations, sponsorship and a small amount of grant funding so giving is encouraged and hugely appreciated, visitors can give via the donation buckets at the festival or donate via the Tewkesbury Town Council website; tewkesburytowncouncil.gov.uk/product/tewkesbury-live-donations/.
