Bringing festival vibes to town centre, The Brewery Quarter in Cheltenham is hosting Summer Jam: The Lakefest Warmup this July 2024 — featuring top talent handpicked from the Lakefest line-up, plus the final of the Road to Lakefest competition, which sees talented local bands battling it out for a place on the main stage.
Taking place from Friday 26 to Sunday 28 July 2024, the free event gives visitors a taster of what's to come at the popular music festival at Eastnor Castle in August, with three days of free music and family entertainment.
The Brewery Quarter's plethora of bars and restaurants are also serving up cocktails, craft beers, ciders and tasty takeaway food to tuck into.
Headlining the event are local favourites The Mark Walby Band on Friday and Camilla Lewington on Sunday; while on Saturday, 90s superstar Abz Love from boy band Five takes to the stage to sing hits from the band's back catalogue and his solo career.
Saturday also sees a host of talented up-and-coming bands go head-to-head for a coveted slot on the main stage in the grand finale of Road to Lakefest.
On top of the packed music line-up, new for 2024 there's a silent disco for your own personal party under the stars; daytime performances from the Swashbuckling Sorcerer, Science Magic and roaming characters that are sure to keep little ones spellbound; and the chance to create your own festival accessories like headdresses and wristbands with Spare Room Arts.
Keeping guests refreshed, there are outdoor bars from The Alchemist, Brewhouse & Kitchen and Flight Club across the weekend; with everything from burgers and pizza to noodles and curries to take away.
Plus, if you've still not booked tickets, there's an official Lakefest ticket office on-site, too.
Summer Jam: The Lakefest Warmup is free to attend, but only food and drinks purchased from The Brewery Quarter will be permitted in the festival area.
