Some of Gloucestershire’s biggest stars are taking to the stage at Cheltenham’s Everyman Theatre this April 2022, for a variety show raising money for those affected by the war in Ukraine.
The Everyman Theatre and the Barn Theatre in Cirencester have teamed up for Stand Up For Ukraine, which promises to be a night of laughter, music and magic – with famous names including Tweedy the Clown, Dom Joly, Ben Miller, Rory Bremner and acclaimed author Sir Michael Morpurgo all set to star in the show.
Other performers include West End star Lisa Maxwell, comedy magician John Archer and the Every Voice choir, with Everyman panto favourite Sam Holmes hosting.
Staff at the theatre are donating their time and local businesses BPE Solicitors and Crowe are sponsoring the event.
Stand Up For Ukraine takes place on Saturday 2 April 2022 at the Everyman Theatre on Regent Street in Cheltenham.
Tickets cost from £15 to £100 with all proceeds being donated to the Disasters Emergency Committee, Gloucestershire Action for Refugees and Asylum Seekers and Cheltenham Welcomes Refugees, to help people affected by the war in Ukraine – with the event aiming to raise £50,000 through donations and ticket sales.
For those unable to attend in-person, a live stream will also be available to watch online with a link to make a donation.
