An award-winning story from the author of War Horse is set to take the stage at Cheltenham’s Everyman Theatre – with audiences able to catch Michael Morpurgo’s Private Peaceful from Tuesday 5 to Saturday 9 July.

Join brothers Tommo and Charlie as they navigate a difficult childhood, struggling with the loss of their father and the financial difficulties that follow. Sibling loyalty pulls them through – until they fall for the same girl and the First World War breaks out.

Taking Gloucestershire theatregoers to the trenches, audiences will hear from young Private Tommo Peaceful, as he shares his dearest memories and his battle with family, devotion and courage.

The performance is recommended for children aged nine and up.
