Four years since his last performance in the Cotswolds, Paul Weller will be returning to Westonbirt Arboretum on Thursday 8 June 2023 for a live outdoor summer concert in stunning surroundings.
Paul Weller has enjoyed an incredible 50 years making music. From his era-defining breakthrough with The Jam, reinvention via The Style Council, and formidable career as a solo artist, Weller has scored a string of number one albums and singles, connecting with fans across the generations and is regarded as a cultural icon of British music.
Described by organisers as a 'Forest Live stalwart', Weller has made a record-breaking
25 appearances as part of the concert series since his debut in 2004, the most
by any artist and all to sold-out crowds.
And while there aren't many tickets remaining for his 2023 date, it has just been revealed that The Jam and The Style Council singer will be supported at the Forest Live concert by an exciting new band, Far From Saints, led by Stereophonics' Kelly Jones - another popular Westonbirt regular, having also played to a sold-out crowd in 2019.
As well as the Stereophonics' frontman, Far From Saints also includes Patty Lynn and Dwight Baker of US band The Wind And The Wave, with the new band recently releasing new single 'Let's Turn This Back Around', which is currently getting a lot of radio play, and a debut album is due to be released in the summer.
Paul Weller said: 'Really looking forward to seeing my mate Kelly’s new project live at the forest shows. Can’t wait!'
Seb Lowe, an up and coming Oldham singer-songwriter, will also open the bill at what promises to be a memorable evening for Gloucestershire music fans.
Tickets costing £58.75 each are on sale now, visit forestryengland.uk to book.
