Theatre goers can expect a compelling performance at the Everyman Theatre this autumn, when Shakespeare’s tragic Othello brings drama to Cheltenham.

Presented by English Touring Theatre, Oxford Playhouse and Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory, the show runs from Tuesday 16 to Saturday 20 October 2018, and has been described by The Times as ‘an astute and powerful production’.

A story of manipulation, pride and jealousy, the play sees Othello torn apart by Iago’s cunning plan; his life unravels when he’s led to believe his wife, Desdemona, is being unfaithful.

Exploring issues of prejudice, this production of Othello heads to the Everyman Theatre following a critically-acclaimed tour and run in London. Including violence and strong language, the show is recommended for ages 12 and above.
