Ensemble Molière: The Dancing Star at St Andrew's
Saturday 24 May 2025

Selected as the first ever Baroque ensemble to be BBC Radio 3’s New Generation Artists in 2021, London-based Ensemble Molière have gained a reputation as an established early music collective, specialising in French Baroque from the late 17th and 18th centuries.
In the evening's programme, The Dancing Star, the group will perform a score centred around Marie Sallé, one of the first female choreographers. Concertgoers will also have the opportunity to hear extracts from Handel’s 'Terpsicore' which Sallé danced to on the London stage, alongside pieces by Rameau and Rebel to which she famously danced in Paris and Versailles.
