Combining lyrical poetry with Scottish indie-rock, Idlewild have been part of the British music scene since the early 90s, when NME described their sound as ‘a flight of stairs, falling down a flight of stairs.’
But as with many long-standing bands, Idlewild’s sound has morphed and progressed over time, with 2019 signalling the release of their new album Interview Music.
Bringing their new sound to Gloucestershire, Idlewild will perform at Gloucester Guildhall on Sunday 17 November 2019.
Known for hits including ‘When I Argue I See Shapes’, ‘American English’ and ‘You Held The World In Your Arms’, the band have recorded their new collection of songs in Los Angeles, gaining inspiration from both the American landscape, and the Scottish Highlands, where Idlewild’s lead singer Roddy Woomble lives.
Don’t miss the chance to see the indie greats in an intimate local venue.
