Bringing Arthurian legends to life with its brand-new show Avalon, Gloucestershire's magical Giffords Circus is going on its longest ever tour in 2024.
Set on a mystical medieval island, Avalon promises lavish costumes; an opulent set; spectacular performances from acrobats, magicians, musicians and clowns; and an utterly immersive performance under Giffords' famous big top.
With legendary director Cal McCrystal at the helm, Avalon sees 2023 leading lady, Nell O'Hara, taking centre stage once again as Queen Guinevere alongside Nick Hodge as King Arthur, with magician Maximiliano Stia playing Merlin, Tyler Ward playing Cuthbert and an incredibly talented cast of artistes from all over the world.
Kicking off from its home at Fennells Farm in Stroud on Thursday 28 March, Giffords longest ever tour stretches throughout the spring and summer, pitching its big top at Gloucestershire venues including Sudeley Castle, Minchinhampton Common and Stratton Meadows in Cirencester, before heading back to Stroud for the final leg of the tour, which finishes on Sunday 29 September 2024.
Tickets cost from £20 per adult and from £10 per child or wheelchair user, with children under three and carers able to come along and enjoy the show for free.
Giffords' famous travelling restaurant, Circus Sauce, gets back on the road in 2024, too, with brand new executive chef Tara Moreton-Archibald taking the reigns. Dinner prices cost from £50 per adult and £30 per child.
