Dom Joly has revealed exclusively to SoGlos that the special guest at his next SpeakeaZy event is a 'comedy legend' who 'you will definitely know'.
Following a sold-out first event which featured comedy from mystery guest Marcel Lucont, who blamed wine in a can for the downfall of civilisation; and live music from the band behind 90's hit 'You're Gorgeous', Babybird, the next event takes place on Thursday 1 May 2025.
Billed as an alternative to the Jazz Festival, Dom has left hints on who the special guest might be on social media – with the biggest clue being that his guest is a woman.
Dom has described the SpeakeaZy as a 'cabaret of curiosities' with a late-night chat show vibe, where every month he hosts mystery guests from the worlds of comedy, music, literature, showbiz and more at The Steam & Whistle in Cheltenham.
Coinciding with the Trigger Happy TV 25th anniversary tour taking place in autumn 2025, he created the SpeakeaZy as a special hometown event to give Cheltenham locals a unique new night at an independent venue on the first Thursday of every month.
While the line-up remains strictly under wraps, comedy fans won't want to miss out on seeing a female comedy legend up-close.
