Celebrating Gloucestershire's diverse LGBTQIA+ community, Cheltenham Pride returns this Saturday 18 May 2024, with an unmissable line-up of talented queer entertainers on the bill.
The pride-packed day promises colour, positivity and inclusivity to show solidarity for the LGBTQIA+ community.
Kicking off at 11am with the iconic Pride March through Cheltenham Town Centre, the festivities arrive at Imperial Gardens at 12pm, where there'll be stalls stocked with goods from local businesses and non-profit organisations; tasty street food including Vinnie's Mac and Cheese, burgers and hot dogs from The Dogs Street Food, Jamaican flavours from Season To Da Bone and sweet treats from Crumble Chaos — as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from So Bar So Good; plus fun activities to take part in.
There's a spectacular line-up of live performances on the main stage, including Kara Von Site, Polly Pocketbook, Ro Kat and headliners Angie Brown and RuPaul's Drag Race UK star, Cheltenham's own Copper Topp.
Prideful pooches can even participate in the inaugural Pride Dog Show, with entry costing £2 per dog, per class, with titles like best dressed, waggiest tail, biggest diva, best rescue dog and best in show up for grabs.
To acknowledge and support all attendees, there will be designated multi-sensory spaces and trans-specific safe spots and information zones, too.
The main event winds down at 6pm, before the party sashays over to Popworld for the official afterparty.
Cheltenham Pride, which is part of Pride in Gloucestershire, is supported by multiple Gloucestershire businesses, including headline sponsor, Willans LLP solicitors.
Managing partner at Willans, Bridget Redmond, said: 'We are delighted to be headline sponsor of Pride in Cheltenham 2024. As a law firm, we proudly celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community and Pride in its mission to highlight and eradicate discrimination and inequality.'
