Both firm fans and opera newbies will love this magical open-air performance at Painswick Rococo Garden.

The latest in its programme of alfresco entertainment, Painswick Rococo Garden is hosting an evening of awe-inspiring opera on its central Bowling Green on Friday 19 July 2024.

Kick off the weekend with a spot of culture, enjoying a musical performance that's Royal Opera House-level standard — with picnics and bottles of bubbly encouraged.

Staged by sustainable opera company Wild Arts, audiences can expect a love story featuring opera masterpieces, performed by four up-and-coming stars, with mesmerising musical scores played by a string quartet.

Bringing accessible opera to gorgeous venues across the UK, Wild Arts offers 'sustainable, world-class music for everyone', making its shows ideal for anyone who might be new to opera.

Fingers crossed for a warm summer's evening, but in case of bad weather, the performance will take place in Painswick Church. Don't forget to pack snacks, drinks and bring something to sit on — and of course, dress for the weather!

Guests are welcome to arrive from 6.15pm to explore Painswick Rococo Garden's magical woodland and fanciful follies, before the performance starts at 7pm.

Last year's event was a sell-out so don't delay in buying your tickets — available via tickettailor.com/wildarts.
