An award-winning homage to Johnny Cash is heading to Cheltenham

Not so much a tribute act as a celebration of his music, The Johnny Cash Roadshow is on stage for one night only when it comes to Cheltenham's Everyman Theatre this July 2024.

Returning for an unforgettable night, the Johnny Cash Roadshow is back with an all-new production of its much-loved show at Cheltenham's Everyman Theatre, this July 2024.

For one night only on Monday 22 July 2024, fans of the man in black can see the award-winning Clive John pay homage to Johnny Cash in his warm and authentic way, performing alongside his iconic wife, June Carter — played by Meghan Thomas — and a cast of fantastic musicians playing double bass, Fender telecaster and acoustic guitars, drums, piano, trumpet and singing impressive Carter family-inspired four-part vocal harmonies.

Covering Cash’s entire back catalogue from the 50s all the way through to his career rejuvenating American Recordings and beyond, audiences can expect timeless songs such as: ‘Walk the Line’, ‘Ring of Fire’, ‘Jackson’, ‘Orange Blossom Special’ and ‘Boy Named Sue’, as well as some of his darker material from the later releases, such as his cover of Nine Inch Nails track ‘Hurt’.
