A world stage premiere of Dial M For Mayhem is heading to Cheltenham's Everyman Theatre this September 2024, showcasing a brand-new and charming farcical comedy drama.

From the author and director of the hugely successful courtroom phenomenon The Verdict, Margaret May Hobbs new stage show follows a group of travelling actors from south of the Scottish border as they conquer the beautiful unforgiving landscape of the Highlands and Islands village hall circuit to perform Frederick Knott’s classic 1950s thriller, Dial M For Murder.

A play within a play, audiences can expect a backdrop of Scottish weather and internal company squabbles when it runs from Wednesday 11 to Saturday 14 September 2024.

Hilarity ensues with a colourful cast including a flatulent ageing soap star, a shepherd, a long lost caber tossing love — and even a television-watching sheepdog!

Add to the mix a twinkle-eyed AA man and a missing child’s pet black rat called Norman and the scene is gleefully set for back stage chaos and laugh-out loud hilarity...
