Step into the 1940s to celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day at Berkeley Castle

Marking 80 years since the end of World War Two, Berkeley Castle is celebrating VE Day with an immersive weekend of 1940s living history displays, military re-enactments and wartime music from Britain's Got Talent band, The D-Day Darlings.

Experience the sights and sounds of 1940s Britain for an immersive VE Day celebration at Berkeley Castle this May bank holiday weekend.

Celebrating eight decades since Victory in Europe was declared in May 1945, come together with friends, family and fellow history lovers for a nostalgic weekend of remembrance, marking 80 years since the end of World War Two.

Explore living history displays from the wartime era, stepping into a WW2 field kitchen and watching military drills and tactics, expertly re-enacted by the Leicestershire Regiment in the arena.

There's also live music from members of The D-Day Darlings, the wartime act that shot to fame after appearing on Britain's Got Talent in 2018, performing classic songs from the era. 

Plus, meet the man who led Britain to victory, with an expert Winston Churchill impersonator roaming the castle grounds!
