Returning to Ragley Hall for its second year and presented by television personality Kirstie Allsopp, The Handmade Fair promises an enjoyable and creative day out this spring.
Running from Friday 11 to Sunday 13 May 2018, the anticipated showcase features everything from hands-on workshops to expert talks and demonstrations – not to mention an impressive selection of lovely makers.
What’s more with a choice of ticket type, there’s something to suit everyone. Entry Only tickets include all-day access to the Shopping Village and Artisan Marketplace; while Full Experience tickets comprise a skills workshop, grand make session, and a seat in the theatre for one hour.

Skills Workshops
Ideal for all abilities, The Handmade Fair offers a wide range of one-hour Skills Workshops to choose from, led by hand-picked experts who are the best in the business!
Running for one hour, the packed programme of workshops has something for everyone, ranging from needle felting and jewellery making, to calligraphy.
Workshop highlights include making a handbound kraft notebook; DIY faux leather luggage tag; needle felted statement necklace; and tropical papercut garland.
Super Theatre
Head to the Super Theatre to see some of the country’s biggest creative names, delivering a series of demonstrations and Q&A sessions that are sure to delight and inspire audiences.
Friday’s timetable includes Kirstie Allsopp cooking with her local café owner, Carla Simao; Sew Over It owner Lisa Comfort making a top on stage; and a conversation between Kirstie and founder of Crafter’s Companion, Sara Davies.
On Saturday, highlights include an upholstery masterclass with Ministry of Upholstery’s Anthony Devine; and the chance to witness renowned ceramicist Keith Brymer Jones showcase his expert skills and take requests from the audience.
Meanwhile finishing the fair on a high, Sunday’s stage will welcome Nancy Birthwhistle who will explore how to turn simple, delicious recipes into showstoppers; and bestselling author, quilter and television personality Stuart Hillard, who will discuss his life and sewing career.
Grand Makes
The Grand Makes are light, creative sessions that last for half-an-hour and offer the chance to make something beautiful to take home, with plenty of choice on the packed timetable.
Make a needle felted butterfly brooch; hanging wooden fox; blossoming paper flower; or try your hand at Indian block print on a drawstring bag – just some of the crafty options!
Shopping Village
The Shopping Village will be home to a plethora of tools, materials and beautiful products from a hand-picked selection of makers and sellers – offering plenty of opportunity to get your dose of retail therapy!
