Hear from the first vampire born on English soil when Moth Sanctuary Productions brings Lucy Westenra back to life at Cheltenham Literature Festival this October 2023.

One of literature's best-loved vampires is back from the dead this October 2023, when Moth Sanctuary Productions brings Dracula's first English victim to Cheltenham Literature Festival.

Lucy Westenra was the first vampire born on English soil after catching the attention of Count Dracula himself in Bram Stoker's iconic horror novel.

In the book, Lucy meets an untimely end at the hands of those who supposedly love her and has never had a chance to tell her side of the story, until now.

The immersive theatre company is known for breathing new life into some of literature's most iconic characters, from Edgar Allan Poe's beloved Lenore, Mary Shelley's Frankenstein to Robert W. Chambers' The King in Yellow, adapting classic works for a forward-thinking and modern audience.

The exclusive performance is part of the infamous Lit Crawl and takes place on Saturday 7 October 2023 at The Coffee Dispensary, with rolling performances every 20 minutes from 7.30pm until 9.30pm.
