Taxtiles exhibition at The Gardens Gallery

As one of only two female taxidermists in Gloucestershire, Stroud based Becky Dick breaks the boundaries between textile and taxidermy at her new exhibition in Cheltenham.

Published

Displaying a range of traditional taxidermy and textile work, known as ‘vegan taxidermy’, Becky Dick brings her Taxtiles collection to The Gardens Gallery in Montpellier from Wednesday 30 May to Tuesday 5 June 2018.

Using sustainable yarns, threads and fabrics, Becky used her background in traditional taxidermy to develop a new technique called weave-binding.

This creates more contemporary taxidermy which doesn’t have any part of an animal or bird inside it, all of which will be on display at this intriguing exhibition.
