Strictly Come Dancing fans will be waltzing their way to Berkeley Castle for the chance to see a sparkling new exhibition, featuring 14 beautiful costumes that have featured on the show.
Running on Sundays to Wednesdays during September 2018, the Strictly Come Dancing exhibition offers the rare chance to see stunning costumes from the best-loved BBC programme, which will create a dazzling display in the Great Hall.
Highlights include a Spanish-style dress worn by Ruth Langsford when she took a dramatic fall during the Paso Doble with Anton du Beke; Alexandra Burke’s fabulous feather-trimmed ball gown, worn during the Viennese Waltz with Gorka Marquez; and that Cinderella show dress worn by Katya Jones in the Grand Final with Glitterball champion Joe McFadden.
There’s also the opportunity for visitors to discover fascinating details about each of the dresses, all of which are meticulously hand-made in the UK.
Speaking about the anticipated exhibition, Richard Curwen, Strictly Come Dancing’s Live Events Manager at BBC Studios, said: ‘We are delighted to have a dazzling Strictly Come Dancing costume exhibition in the beautiful setting of Berkeley Castle, displaying some of the fabulous gowns from the last series of Strictly Come Dancing.
‘It’s a great opportunity to see the skill that goes into creating to these beautiful costumes and get close to some of the sparkle of Strictly!’
