Marking the centenary of World War I with a traditional open-air memorial service, the people of Gloucester are invited to support the momentous occasion alongside the Royal British Legion, in the centre of the city.
Taking place at the Cenotaph in Gloucester Park on Sunday 11 November 2018, all are welcome to observe the two-minute silence and wreath laying ceremony at 11am, before a military parade through the city at 12pm.
The special parade will travel from the back of Boots, to Eastgate Street, Westgate Street, College Court and finally to the grounds of Gloucester Cathedral, and will be led by the Salvation Army band. All veterans are invited to take part by meeting at the muster point to the rear of Gloucester Library.
