What's happening at Pride in Gloucestershire 2024?
The Pride March is a stand-out highlight, of course, painting Gloucester in every colour of the rainbow as the county's LGBTQ+ community and allies parade through the city on their way to the festival site.
There's no shortage of entertainment at Gloucester Park either, with both the Main Stage and Community Cabaret Stage hosting unmissable performances from drag kings and queens, musicians and dancers.
Expect a vibrant, family-friendly party atmosphere that's inclusive for all, with the Family Zone and Youth Areas returning for 2024 and a dedicated Trans* In Gloucestershire area, too.
New for 2024, there's the Village Hall, a multi-purpose marquee where you'll find different community workshops, gatherings and meet-ups.
And for adults only, the Kink and Fetish Zone offers a safe, supportive space to discover and celebrate kink and fetish culture.
What’s more, visitors can grab a bite to eat at food stalls, enjoy drinks at the bars, as well as browse a selection of community-based trade stands.
How can I join the Pride March at Pride in Gloucestershire 2024?
For members of the public, the Pride March is free to join and you don't need to register in advance. Simply turn up on the day!
It's also free for community groups, charities and LGBTQ+ groups, but they're asked to register beforehand; while for commercial organisations, there's also a registration fee depending on annual turnover.
What is the Pride March route for 2024?
The Pride in Gloucestershire Pride March is fully guided and starts at Gloucester Cathedral, with participants welcome to gather in the courtyard from 10.30am.
It will then head down Westgate Street to The Cross where the four Gate streets meet; taking Southgate Street up to Kimbrose Triangle, then Spa Road, Brunswick Road and Park Road before reaching Gloucester Park for the main event at 12pm.
