Art and music lovers can head to Cheltenham’s Chapel Arts this summer for an innovative exhibition, Mining Perceptions, by renowned glass artist Sally Fawkes and Oxbridge composer Alex Ho.

Open on Wednesdays to Saturdays, Chapel Arts’ exhibition runs from Wednesday 13 to Saturday 30 June 2018, with visitors able to expect an immersive and enjoyable experience.

The centrepiece of Mining Perceptions will be multi-sensory music and video experience created by the two artists, surrounded by glass sculptures, drawings and photographs by the hugely talented Sally Fawkes.

Sally and Alex were brought together by their fascination with landscape and wilderness; a starting point for the project was Sally’s 2016 expedition sailing along the coastline of northern Norway, when she observed and recorded her response to the incredible environment.

With her experiences as much physical as visual, Sally was drawn to the idea of a multi-sensory exhibition to capture her experiences artistically.

A real treat for the senses, Mining Perceptions will be a highlight on Chapel Arts’ exhibition calendar this summer.
