Get ready for a fun-filled summer afternoon of bright colours, tasty food and plenty of dancing as the Lives of Colour: Culture Fest returns on Saturday 15 June 2024.
The free event, hosted by Cheltenham charity Lives of Colour, takes over Pittville Park from 12pm to 7.30pm, creating a vibrant space for residents and visitors to come together to celebrate Cheltenham's multicultural community.
Activities to look forward to include face painting, traditional dance lessons and African drumming, with live music sure to keep spirits high throughout the afternoon.
Enjoy authentic global grub from a variety of vendors, too.
Lives of Colour works with businesses, schools and other agencies to provide training on inclusivity in the workplace, with many successful projects including Authors of Colour, which promotes Black literature and characters in Gloucestershire schools.
While race inequality and discrimination are an ongoing issue in Gloucestershire, Culture Fest aims to break down divisive barriers and provide a non-judgemental space for everyone to celebrate the county's cultural diversity.
